Giving Day is BACK. Let’s make it BIGGER than ever!

On Wednesday 13th March 2024, Park Bikes will be donating 50% of their profit to Lifeline.

The last few years have been challenging times for many of us, with the lingering impacts of the pandemic, increasing cost of living pressures and the compounding impacts of extreme weather conditions. Many of us might try to carry our burdens alone. But at Lifeline, we know that sharing those burdens can be the first step towards finding hope.

Tragically, nine Australians die by suicide every day.

We need to change that. And we can start to do it by making sure that everyone has the chance to speak and be heard – in the way that’s right for them.

Increasingly, that’s through our digital channels. Instead of calling our helpline, more and more people are reaching out to Lifeline by text and online chat.

Sometimes speaking out loud feels too hard, but typing doesn’t.

That’s what our Help @ Hand Giving Day is all about – making sure that everyone can get the support they need, using their mobile, computer or whatever device is at hand, if that’s how they want to connect with Lifeline.

On Wednesday, 13 March, for 24 hours only, Lifeline will be asking our community to make a donation and have their gift matched – thanks to the generosity of our partner, the Buildcorp Foundation.

Every dollar raised will help us keep pace in our increasingly digital world, so our support services remain as accessible as possible. We’ll be able to embrace innovation and cutting-edge technology and plan for future demand. It’s only through doing this that we’ll be able to be there for people who are more comfortable reaching out for help through digital technology so anyone can find connection, feel heard and be offered hope – wherever they are, whatever time it is.

Please put this date in your calendar – Wednesday, 13 March – and come back to this page on the day to help.

This is your chance to be there for someone in their darkest moments. Thanks to you, they will be able to pick up their phone or get on their computer, and find help is at hand.
